The 6 star hotels shown below are a shortcut to the newest and best hotels in Mexico City. Officially there are no 6 star Mexico City hotels. No formal accreditation body recognises more than 5 stars. But a 6 star Mexico City hotel still sounds amazing, doesn't it.

A hotel with a 9/10 or better review usually indicates it's a newer hotel with less than 1,000 reviews. As the hotel ages, the number of reviews increases, and inevitably the review score declines.
Rather than share their good experiences more than half of guests who write reviews are highly motivated to share their bad experiences and give lower ratings. A good experience is what you expect from a 5 or 6 star hotel.
