Beautiful views and peaceful surroundings. The scenery from Chinshan Villa is absolutely stunning — definitely the highlight of our stay. The room includes free breakfast, but just note that it’s served at a different location, not in the hotel itself. Also, there’s no elevator, only stairs, so it may not be suitable if you have heavy luggage or mobility concerns. Overall, a nice stay if you’re looking for nature and don’t mind a bit of walking.

Very central to the local village, shops, walks and train/bus. The hotel provides the basics but is comfortable with lovely staff. Breakfast vouchers were available but we chose to eat in the market. Bedroom is very comfortable, we slept in the first morning as it was so cool compared to the heat of Tainan. Small though, so consider how many bags you have or how you can stack them! Bathroom was a wash room type set up with bathroom slippers to keep your feet dry. We had a heater in the room as when it's rainy, everything is wet.

The staff were helpful and friendly. I love that they provide packages such as stargazing tour and sunrise tour, the easiest way to connect with the nature of Alishan without having to figure out the problem of transportation and the route to choose.
