It was tucked away in a quiet location, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was great and our hosts were brilliant, they couldn’t do enough for us which made our stay a very pleasant one.

Very nice breakfast. great central location ten minutes walk to the attractions. Spiros was friendly and gave us lots of local information.

We arrived to the most welcoming greeting by Spiros. Throughout our stay he was friendly and helpful - a wonderful host. The guest house is located perfectly for getting into York, a short walk through the gardens or by the river. Our room was spotless, the bed was comfy and there were facilities to make a hot drink. We also enjoyed a gorgeous cooked breakfast in the morning. I would definitely recommend staying at the Sycamore Guest House.
