Very authentic and very nice man who collected us from the station, showed us to our room and prepared an excellent traditional meal for us as well as breakfast and then drove us to the snow money park in the money

The host was very nice and wanted to make sure everything was good. Let them know if you have dietary restrictions and are eating dinner with them, they tried to be flexible. Use the onsen!

Super cozy, traditional Japanese ryokan. Lovely host, extremely friendly and helpful with suggestions and spoke very good English. Spacious room. Mats on the floor to sleep actually quite comfortable. My partner has the dinner one night which was delicious (no catering for vegetarians / vegans sadly so I could not have). Hot water provided every day with coffee, tea. Communal fridge available. Lovely onsen (though female one a bit small).
