It was great to experience a tradition japanese accomodation, and it was very clean and comfy. The staff didn't speak English but we managed to communicate via translation. They served a vegetarian breakfast, that was good, but contaibing eggs, despite we have said that we were vegans. Because they didn't have many guests, they allowed to use the hot spring as a couple, what was also very nice.

The staff was so nice! I wish I could rate it 11/10. They even gave us a lift to the Snow Monkey Park in the morning which was terrific because we were able to enjoy the park before crowds arrived. And we could store our luggage during the park visit and pick it up later. Additionally, there is a great onsen in their basement and our room was very nice and clean. Close proximity to the train station. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Great location in the heart of Yamanouchi, close to the train station, stores, and restaurants. The hotel staff was very professional, helpful, and nice.

Friendly owner, who gave us a free ride to the Snow Monkeys and lent us gumboot as the track was muddy. Room was upgraded and was spacious with a pretty view of the mountains. Onsen was nice, however the women's was small. Really close to the station. The town was quiet as was off season, however there were still dinner options.
