Great location: near to bus stops, Anbo Port, supermarket and eateries. Friendly staff, very willing to help plan and figure out transport: which is a little complex in Yakushima.

The female dorm room was pretty new and very clean. I liked the curtain on the side of the bed that gave me privacy. Coming out of the mountains after spending 3 nights in huts, this hostel couldn't have been more luxurious, with warm shower and own bed. The extra wash basin in female dorm room was great. The bathtub was tiny to have a shower but still functional. It was the only spot that I thought it could be cleaner.

Really great place to explore Yakushima from Anbo by bus or car. Especially for the Jōmon Sugi trail and Yakusugi Land.
