An amazing family home with many old features. Spacious. Great garden. Everything you could need. Lots of stuff for family use like games, several tellys, spices. fresh herbs in the garden, cookbooks, maps and guides. Modernised but not spoilt - somewhere I would be happy to live. Interesting village, but too small to support more than one shop, one cafe. one pub, one historic church, and one excellent museum - well, what else do you need?! Only a short walk down to the beach road where there are more shops including fish and chips. Buses every hour to Hastings and Rye, also trains (bit of a climb). Local country walks with good views.

We loved the cottage itself as it is absolutely beautiful, clean, comfortable and very well equipped. The garden is gorgeous and the location is idyllic.

The cottage is idyllic. It's actually very spacious and easily accommodated our family. The garden was the perfect place for an early morning coffee. Absolute bliss... no noise except for bird song and bees. The kitchen is wonderfully stocked - plenty quality pots, pans, etc. Everything is spotlessly clean. Winchelsea itself is an ideal base for some walking/running/swimming - the circular walk to Rye was an ideal way to sped Saturday morning. To top it all, the hosts left Easter eggs for us - what a kind gesture. THANK YOU.
