Everything, staff, food the hotel buildings, grounds and the location. Excellent place to stay and you can bring your dog.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. We were shown to our room and given the breakfast details. The four poster bed room was impressive with two large windows, high ceilings and two small lounge chairs. There was lots of hanging space in the large wooden wardrobe and the dressing table was also very handy. This large room was a pleasant space for our stay. A full English breakfast was served in the dining room. The staff accommodated our dietary needs. There was a variety of fruits on offer . Also cereal, juices and yogurt. This is a quiet place on the outskirts of Whitehaven a lovely place to stay for a few days while exploring this part of Cumbria.

Completely unique accommodation set in beautiful grounds. The house has many original features and offers guests an insight to the past. The owner is extremely obliging and enthusiastic about her undertaking and should be wished good luck. Our room was comfortable and quite large.

Building looks a bit tired outside but is stunning inside. We had an enormous room with a 4 poster bed. Staff friendly and helpful. Plenty of free parking. Breakfast was great too.
