The Lodge was located in a quiet village just 2.5 miles away from Whitby, which was excellent as Whitby was so busy. Easy to get into Whitby and driving to other locations like Robin Hood Bay, The Staithes, Scarborough, Pickering, Saltburn by Sea. The house was end terrace and had lovely beams and stone work inside which was really attractive. The front garden was well kept and I could let my dog out without worrying she would get out & with the sun being in the garden from morning to evening you can enjoy breakfast/evening meal outside on the bench table (if you are lucky with the weather which fortunately we were). No problem parking. Wouldn't hesitate to book again!

Location not too far out of Whitby, we walked in on one of the days but it can be costly if you need to get a taxi after a night out. Such a shame the bus service to this lovely village was cut. The house was clean and tidy, plenty big enough for two people, the heating worked well and the thermostat was not complicated to use and the house did not take long to get warm. A bonus too ...comfy sofas to relax on in the evening! Wifi signal worked well. Mattress on the double bed was soft but it was comfortable enough for the few nights we were there and it's always a plus for us if there is a bath tub rather than just a shower. Plenty of storage for clothing but could do with a full length mirror in one of the bedrooms. Overall, this is a great holiday let with all the facilities you could need.

The location was perfect. It was in a lovely quiet village. The property was very well equipped, kitchen and bathroom were spotlessly clean and so were the towels, bedding and beds. We did however notice a few cobwebs and the lounge was a little dusty. Fortunately as everything else was pretty much perfect it did not spoil our stay in any way.
