Stayed as my son got married at Danby Castle near by. We were 3 couples and a child. The cottage is very spacious and very well equipped (large kitchen, downstairs loo, a huge bathroom with seperate shower, another shower room with toilet and an ensuite to one bedroom). It was very clean and there was a nice welcome basket for us. A large range of books, dvds and bored games are available for use which us a nice touch. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cottage to anyone.

Lovely property, decorated nicely, very homey, lots of bathrooms/toilets. Board games to play, bottle of wine, bacon, eggs, milk, bread and cakes from owner on arrival. Lovely village, coop just down the street.

Springfield cottage was fantastic, amazingly clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The welcome basket was loved, with a cake, Easter egg and bottle of Prosecco. The rooms were lovely with comfy beds and amazing views from the top floor. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could need. The village is lovely and we ate at the Downe Arms (which is a very short walk away) which was really good, huge portions and cheap. If we come up this way again we will definitely be staying here.

My close family stayed in Springfield cottage to attend our wedding at Danby Castle. They really enjoyed their time in the village and found the property excellent.
