The house could use a deep clean. There were some spider web and we had to buy a bulb since one room didn't have one. Also, when you turn the hot water in the bathrooms, you can hear it in all the upstairs rooms. Very noisy boilers. However, if you can get over that, the surroundings are amazing. Peaceful and quiet. All you can hear is the sound of the spring that runs close to the house. Loved to wake up to that view.

The location was excellent. It was very private, the house located about 200 yards back from the road, and so was very quiet and felt secluded. There is a farmhouse next to the cottage, but there was no noise or any disturbance from this. Lovely garden area with a stream running near the house. Plenty of space in the house.

An excellent accommodation that suited the 3 of us just fine. Just like being at home, with all the usual comforts of home. Spacious, warm, comfortable, beautiful outlook across to Ullswater, quiet and really quite isolated.

There wasn’t much to dislike, we had a fantastic time and the children absolute loved it and loved exploring the grounds which were stunning 😊 cosy and comfortable and would highly recommend.
