I have been to many places in the Tatras: Pension Sibir has been by far the best concerning price/value ratio. Breakfast was beyond all expectations. Host is very nice and helpful. Speaks very good English, too.

Penzión Sibír is a very well located guesthouse in Nový Smokovec. Nearby you can find the train station, the center of Stary Smokovec, restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacy, so everything you need. A very good base for the surrounding trekking routes. Nice and friendly owners, good breakfast.

Breakfast starting at 07:00 than early enough for planning excursion. Smokovec is good communicated with many path by train call "Elekticka"than is convenient place as base.
