The location on the fjord with a beach was great fun for a cool swim after a warm day.The atmosphere is relaxed. The staff very understanding.Indeed the restaurant staff accommodated us for dinner at their closing time. The restaurants in town said there was a visa issue with foreign cards. After not being able to get cash from the atm and trying all our cards we went back to the hostel. So our card worked and we got fed...miracle we were so grateful. Reception staff also were able to loan us a Frisbee. Dinner and Breakfast were great.

Cheap and close to the train station. We stayed one night between two hikes to get food and dry our boots. The receptionist was super kind and very helpful. Breakfast was good for the price.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic location opposite beautiful lake and about 10 minutes walk to/from Voss centre. Lovely breakfast with plenty of choice and all local and organic. Nice lounge area to relax, read or play games.

This is my third stay at Voss hostel in the middle of a long hike. Great place to rest, recharge, and do laundry! Lovely staff and good (if basic) facilities. Good vibes all around. Will probably be back.
