Beautifully presented with an amazing view from the balcony. We were very well looked after with wonderful breakfast provided every morning. Check in time was also flexible and accommodating, which was a great help.

the location is amazing, inside the old fortified village of Cancela Vehla. The beach below (100 steps down) has sandbars you can wade to with shallow pools full of fish, crabs burrowing around your feet, interesting birds on the dunes and land behind the beach - an amazing place. Lots of tourists during the day in the village, silent at night. Restaurant over the road is pretty good too. Our room was not huge but very comfortable, drnks in the fridge, and a nice communal kitchen for the five rooms - we were the only guests so it was all ours for the 2 days! Fatima, the host, was amazing. With her colleague they provided very good, varied breakfast, with fruit, cereal, toast, pastries, eggs, cold meats... Fatima speaks some English and is just a lovely, super-helpful person!
