The apartment is incredibly cute and very well thought out. All the little touched you could possibly need for a confortable stay are there. It's a beautiful place to stay in.

You enter directly into the flat at ground level by beautifully crafted metalwork double doors which also serve as a window into the cottage-like interior. In fact these French doors are trifold, with the shutter, the window pane and a mosquito net panel, all of which can be opened separately as required - quite ingenious. With the wrought iron tracings as a barrier, the room can be safely aired while absent. The flat is tastefully furnished and decorated and very comfortable and homely with nice personal touches.. Evidence of the original arches have been incorporated into what seems like a recent refurbishment. The bathroom is bright and faultless although getting the right temperature water is tricky. The bed is comfortable with a dim lamp by the bedside for night-time use ( good - not always the case in modern hotels) and there are additional covers available. I would have liked a curtain over the bedroom doorway as the usual excessive Abruzzo street lighting came in through the fanlight ( meaning the lunette window above the door for those who are unfamiliar with the term) The kitchen is well equipped for more than breakfast ( it's included as Italian-style sweet fare and stove-top coffee or tea) and Michelina has provided store cupboard essentials for cooking. ( A spatula and some olive oil would have been useful additions). The flat is tucked away from the busy main road in a quiet courtyard and you don't hear any traffic. A fishmonger and a greengrocer's is just across the main road and I didn’t realise until my second visit that there is also a big supermarket just behind the aforementioned shops. There's a nice bar Bonjour and a bakery just a few steps away. The large bus station Vasto Teminale is also very close by if you're arriving from afar. The historic centre is reachable on foot in five minutes. Along the route there are frequent buses that take you to the beach. There is a timetable in the flat.
