Without a doubt, the highlight of our stay was our host, Roberto, who went above and beyond to ensure we had a truly comfortable and relaxing holiday and was delightful to converse with. Despite a two-hour train delay, he was kind enough to meet us at the station in Varenna and generously drove us into and out of town whenever we needed. Service like this is rare these days and deeply appreciated. As many others have noted, the view of Lake Como from the property is simply stunning. The apartment itself is spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped, and the gardens are beautifully maintained and a pleasure to spend time in. The location is about a 25-minute walk from Varenna, with a short but steep uphill climb to reach the apartment. However we enjoyed the walk, as we like to stay active. There is a lovely family run restaurant a couple of doors down the road worth visiting for a delicious meal and another restaurant a few minutes away. Overall, this was a fantastic experience on Lake Como, and we’ll definitely try to return!

The view from the large balcony of Lake Como was spectacular. The 3rd floor full apartment included a kitchen, living room with dining table, two bedrooms an over sized bathroom with a washing machine. Free parking was available just a short walk away. Host Roberto was very helpful. He picked up two of our group at the train station and carried all of our suitcases up and down the steps.
