Lovely hosts, they offer a really personal welcome. The rooms are very newly built and smart and modern without being fussy and overly fancy. The balcony is huge and offers a wonderful view of the valley.

We were looking for a place to relax for a few days between cities - and Gvala was the perfect place. The hosts were so accommodating and friendly. Everything they served us for breakfast/lunch/dinner came from their own garden and was delicious! Despite a language barrier at times, the hosts were very fun company and great to enjoy our evenings with.

very calm during winter (no tourists and very few locals), so it felt like abandoned village. room was comfortable but be ready to put on appropriately as in the morning it can be -20 degrees celsius. for additional 50 lari you can have dinner and breakfast, which is made just from local product, which owners make on their own (cheese, vine, bread, chacapuri and so on) and it is well worth it.

A perfect guesthouse if you want a very local experience hosted by kind people. The hosts were super accommodating and were great company throughout the evening, and served us plenty of homemade wine and chacha to keep the fun going. The place itself is comfortable and just a short walk from the caves. Can highly recommend
