The fine print
Based on local tax laws, all Chilean citizens and resident foreigners must pay an additional fee (IVA) of 19%. To be exempt from this 19% additional fee (IVA) the payment must be made in US dollars and a copy of the immigration card and passport must be presented. The passenger won’t be exempt from this fee when paying in local currency. In case of no show the invoice will be billed in local currency, including this additional fee (IVA).

Matthew “Great views from room five, friendly staff, good value”

Room five was great. It has a beautiful wraparound view of the city from two aspects. The rooftop deck offered even more stunning panoramic views of the city. A very spacious room, with a large bathroom and bath, and separate shower. Friendly and attentive staff. Breakfasts were good, with a separate buffet but you could order eggs. We had an early departure and they very kindly organised a room breakfast the night before. The hotel is located in a safer part to the city (sadly safety is not great in a lot of the surrounding areas). We visited at the end of April and it was a ghost town in the hotel and the surrounding area. We ate out and we were the only ones dining! Parking was easy and free outside on the road.

Lovely location, really clean and spacious room with everything we needed. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were so helpful giving us tips for places to visit and a great restaurant recommendation. Would definitely visit again.

I absolutely loved my stay at Casa Galos. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The location is fabulous. Ideal for wandering through the narrow streets, marvelling at the artwork on the buildings of Valparaiso. The rooftop terrace has fabulous views. The breakfast is also delicious.

Great views from the rooftop terrace/bar. Large room with very comfortable bed. Water cooler with filtered water.
