The staff were extremely attentive and friendly! The safari was so easy to book through the hosts and the safari itself was amazing! Not only did we see 7 different types of amazing animals with a very lovely and knowledgeable guide but we also had a delicious breakfast included with a cup of tea over looking one of the many lakes in the National park itself. It was all we could have hoped for and more! As we did the 4 hours safari it meant to had a chance to go and see the elephants transit station in the afternoon which is only a 10 minute tuktuk ride away from the property! There were so many amazing aspects of this place but one of the best were the delicious home cooked meals from the hosts. I could not recommended Wild Safari Clay house enough! One of the best places I have ever stayed!

we absolutly loved it, the clayhouse is clean and cosy, we had an amazing safari experience, the owner was very kind and we had fantastic breakfast and dinner!

The guesthouse is a small family business just consisting of two bungalows which immediately gives a private atmosphere. The safari is optional and has to be paid on top, organized by a cooperating family business. Both, accommodation and the safari were really worth the money. The bungalow and the whole place are organised in a very efficient (facilities, practical arrangements etc.) and yet very tasteful manner. Optional home-made dinner was served in a beautiful pavillion just next to our bungalow. The curry was amazing and the amount of food more than enough. Next morning, we were picked up for a 4-hour safari in time. We saw many elephants and other animals and our driver was a good spotter and smart tracker. A quick Sri Lankan breakfast (included) was served during the tour, arranged in front of a small river. After the safari, we still had time to take a shower and check-out calmly. The owner is also helpful in organising options to leave Udawalawe. An insider's tip that really deserves it's name!
