The property was away from the bustle of inner Ubud in what felt like a little sanctuary. The property is a 30 minute walk from the main centre of Ubud. A family compound of multiple Balinese dwellings for the generational family members with 4 little guest rooms down the back garden making the experience more authentic and safe. As a solo female traveller with a female teen daughter this was a lovely place for budget travelling. It felt like a little oasis of tranquility. The host is very kind and also offers competitive prices as a driver. We even had the pleasure of his young teen jumping in on a ride from Ubud to Sanur which gave the trip more depth and community. Wayan attends many Balinese ceremonies ask if there’s any you can attend with him. The property has a little kitchen with stove top and fridge so that you can cut costs and cook your meals if you desire. We bought lots of fruits and cake near by and there a 2 mart shops and a few small earrings. We also ate in the centre of Ubud and at Bebek Joni near by (8 minute walk) a very large restaurant that services tour large groups of Asian travellers delicious meals with a nice green view of small rice fields. It rained a lot while we were there. The room was clean, the water hot, the verandah cute, the power point and wifi good. So we spent time sleeping, reading and doing some internet work. For this price point the room was exceptional and I would go again.

The location is a bit outside the central area, but it’s close to everything and very quiet, perfect for relaxing after long days of exploring. The hosts are incredibly kind. We highly recommend reaching out to them for private transportation or vehicle rentals. They’re very responsive and always available. A WONDERFUL FAMILY!

Komang was great! I appreciate how she let us rest and pay the next morning after our long journey. The room was nice with a big comfortable bed. There was also a shared kitchen with a fridge. The balcony was big and felt private even though we were in the room next to the kitchen. I enjoyed the garden view from our balcony. It's a quiet and chilled place.
