The room we stayed was huge, it had a little kitchen with everything you need, a huge leaving room with sofas and chairs and a big TV, and the bedroom with a great size too. Each room has its own heat pump, which is great for colder days. The staff was amazing, the person I talked to was super nice and gave a lot of tips of what to do in town, where to eat, and what was the best time to go to Mt Cook.

Easy to find. Had a selection of takeaway food stalls opposite the property every evening, easy choice for tea. Comfortable bed, large room with outside seats.

The Lakes Motel had the best room, furniture, bathroom and kitchen of the 11 motels we have stayed at in New Zealand over the last 4 weeks. Excellent value for money and highly recommended.
