This is an older hotel so my expectations were not high. However, I was very pleasantly surprised to find my room to be secure, clean and very updated. When I commented on this at checkout I was told they are working at updating the entire space eventually. The locks on the slider and the door were very good, though the slider had been jerked, possibly by an occupant when it was securely locked, so that had damaged the hold it had on the wall. The lighting was excellent, the bed was comfortable and the whole room was very updated and attractive. I also liked the inclusion of a safe. It did not have a microwave, but I didn't consider that an issue. More importantly, a coffee maker and coffee packets were provided, as was a refrigerator. As the modernization continues I have a small suggestion...be sure to check those items not being replaced to be sure they are still securely attached. The fan in the very nice bathroom was hanging down from the ceiling, though I was able to gently push it back into place. The location is excellent, next door to the Tucson Medical Center. Security and cleanliness are my most important considerations. I felt the doors and the locks were excellent, the carpeting seemed very clean and attractive, and the space was contemporary and comfortable. Exterior lighting was great and the quality draperies were able to limit that lighting to the outside.

Room was nice, location, staff was very friendly, welcoming in accommodating our needs. Omg the bed and pillows were so comfortable.
