Troyes is not a 'big name' city like Reims, but it's a really wonderful place to visit, with a striking cathedral and street upon street of timber-framed houses. The apartment was one floor of one such house in the centre of the city, overlooking a lovely square, close to lots of bustling streets. The apartment was extensive with a large living area and two well-sized bedrooms. I'd have gladly lived there. The host was also very helpful, even though I had failed to give an exact time of arrival.

Clean and tidy property, very spacious. Beds are soft and very quiet at night time if the windows are open.
