The host Philip, lives on site and is very warm and friendly. He is available for any requests. We loved the room - it was spacious and had all facilities. Having a shared kitchen available is a bonus. It was really well equipped, even a full size oven. Plenty of glassware, plates, cutlery and a big fridge. You could eat in the kitchen or on the terrace. All of this in one of the most beautiful villages in France. Would stay again.

We greatly appreciated the assistance that Philip gave us in wheeling our luggage from the car park at the other end of the village by the church, carrying it up the staircases and helping us similarly on our return walk to the car park.He was also very kind and helpful in other ways when one of us was ill for 2 days. Tourtour is a beautiful location and we slept well due to the quiet location.

Tourtour is a lovely little village and Maison Searle is located in the heart of it. Both the village and the house are full of character, maintaining their links to a fascinating past. We stayed in the Chambre Rose, with its fabulous antique furniture and pink wallpaper throughout - even in the bathroom. The wifi was excellent. The shared kitchen was very well-equipped and the roof-garden would have been a lovely place for breakfast had it not been so windy. Philip was quite friendly and met us to take us to the house (it would have been difficult to find it had he not!). His English is perfect and he was easy to contact and happy for us to arrive earlier than we had originally indicated.
