I loved this place. It was like having an adventure at the bottom of someone's huge garden and amongst the grape vines. It was located close enough to walk into Totnes. You could either disappear into the town via the garden, down a rope and into the "gulley way" or a nice walk down the hill. It was very private , quiet and I felt safe as a solo traveller. There is a wonderful view of Totnes from the garden and an abundance of wildlife to watch from the decking. The accommodation itself was rustic, comfortable and had everything I needed to have a great holiday. ***PLEASE NOTE*** AS per the listing, if you don't have good mobility then it won't be for you **** There are steps down to the hideout and it's placed on a hill. However, if you want good quads, glutes and hams workout..its ideal. I had a brilliant time and was genuinely sad to leave. I'll be back to explore all the places I never got around to visiting. There's a great round robin trip that takes you into Dartmouth, boats trains and open top buses. The train station is near enough to go to Teignmouth and beyond. There is also the hall and garden estate with a great walk. If you like open water swimming then I noticed a spot where there were bathers taking advantage of the spot. Not forgetting Totnes town itself which is really lovely, lots of Independent traders and lovely places to eat.
