The location above the town and harbour is the biggest benefit of this hotel. The room we had was spacious with old furniture, quite charming. Windows can be opened and it’s quiet at night. Lots of amenities are provided. Bathroom spacious too with a window (!), a big shower and very good water supply, i.e. water pressure and warm water at any time of the day. Tap water perfectly drinkable. Light in the bathroom very good and generous for shaving. Breakfast selection and quality of food very good, nicely arranged with lots of space for the guests to help themselves at the buffet. Seating in the conservatory is very cool, both in the morning and evening.

The old world charm and the entire staff were incredible. Particularly Sam in the restaurant and Gerlie on reception. The manager Brian is a class act

Lovely room with a fantastic private outside terrace and newly refurbished. Very nice bathroom with walk in shower. Glad to have a handrail in the shower but as the surface was very slippery I had brought a non-slip mat . It would be good to have a non slip mat provided especially since the room was described as good for all abilities.
