The location was 10/10 near the center of Tirana, Bus markets everything was near. The staff wonderful, very nice people and the price one of the cheapest that i have paid in my life compared to what you get.

This was my first time booking a hostel as a solo female traveller; not only D1 hostel exceeded my expectations but were the most accommodating of places I’ve ever stayed in. They’re a 100m walk from the main airport shuttle that works 24/7, close to the main tourist attraction spots in Tirana. I had a really late check in at 3 am and Ivi made sure that I was checked in and comfortable. If you’re coming from the UK, it would be advisable to check if your cards don’t block payments in Albania. Since I had this issue; Dennis and Ivi both were not only accommodating but made me so at home and safe after some not so good experiences in the city. I stayed for hours after my check out time since my flight was cancelled. As a girl, we think of safety; this is it. Nothing more safer and more secure than D1 Hostel.

I copied and pasted the address they had in booking but it was not correct, I was wandering around without finding the place. Only by placing the name of the hostel in Google maps does it appear correctly.
