We recently stayed at River cottage and had a lovely experience. The setting was peaceful and scenic—perfect for a relaxing getaway. It was a stone's throw from the Abbey and only a few minutes walk to shops and restaurants.The cottage itself was cozy, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed, from kitchen supplies to comfortable bedding. It was also a good location to visit other places in the area. The host was responsive, making the check-in and check-out process smooth. It felt like a home away from home. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone looking for a relaxing escape .

The location is excellent to walk up into town and find a nice coffee shop, collect your paper or shopping and walk back! 3 Italian restaurants, 2 are literally just round the corner plus a nice bistro.
