Great, quiet location. Rotorua is about an hours drive and for those interested in Hobbiton, the drive is roughly an hour and a half. The house itself is easily accessible and has great privacy. Beautiful views from the pergola and overall an amazing atmosphere and place to stay. Huka falls, Huka honey hive, Wairakei Terraces and Thermal Pools, Craters of the Moon and the local supermarket and restaurants are all within a 10 - 15 minute drive. Loved the location as you get a great feeling of privacy and quietness while still being close to the town.
