A wonderful place for a family or a small/mid-sized group. 3 double rooms (with AC) with some extra beds (all with mosquiot nets) under the fans in the gorgeous verandah. Sethsiri is a beautiful old colonial-style house. The kitchen is well equipped and highly functional, but Rohan and his team were also more than ready to prepare breakfast, lunches, or dinners. Our kids loved the pool, and the very short walk through the gardens to the beach. Lots of nearby restuarants (simple and fancy), and many more options about 10 minutes away in a tuk-tuk. Rohan was a perfect host - ready and available at all times to help with whatever we needed, but not at all overbearing and we felt like we had the place to ourselves. We would like to return to stay at Sethsiri again.

Sethsiri is a hidden gem tucked away in a coconut plantation just a stones throw from picturesque Mawella Beach. ‘Team Sethsiri’ gave us a warm welcome on arrival and made every day feel a little special from that moment onward. I think previous negative reviews are from a time long gone by and should be ignored. It’s an authentic colonial property that had everything we needed and if it didn’t, the staff were always attentive enough to find it. Nothing was too much trouble. Myself, my wife and 3 children felt blessed to have not only discovered it but to have met so many wonderful people who are making this place something special. The staff are available to provide meals, cooking lessons, transport, helpful tips and are friendly beyond measure. The grounds are beautiful, the pool area is lovely and Mawella Beach is 2 minutes walk from the doorstep. CJ & Paul have bags of hospitality experience and slowly but surely, they are building a team that will and venue that will only get better and better.

Sethsiri is a fantastic place to stay for a family, set just off the beach (with direct access around a 300m gorgeous walk through beautiful gardens). Lovely staff on hand to cook delicious food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The pergola with the table outside was a perfect spot for our meals. The swimming pool is terrific with sun loungers and a comfortable pool seating to read a book and watch the peacocks in the garden. Quiet and tranquil spot. We each had our own rooms with privacy and en-suites. The owners went out of their way to help us with everything. Incredible value for money, would definitely advise anyone to stay here.
