This retreat is located in quiet Swellendam in the foothills of the Langeberg Mountains. The spacious rooms feature modern décor with rustic touches and living areas with flat-screen satellite TVs.
All accommodation at A Hilltop Country Retreat is self-catering, and includes a kitchen with a gas stove and a refrigerator. Guests have the option of having the refrigerator stocked with breakfast items. Barbecue facilities are available to guests, and a packed lunch service is also offered. A range of activities can be organised at the retreat, including hiking and horse riding. The retreat also offers a library and massage services can be booked.
A Hilltop Country Retreat is just 5 minutes’ drive from Swellendam Golf Club, and 10 minutes’ drive from Bontebok National Park. Drostdy Museum is a 10 minute walk away.

Clean & neat, close to restaurants & shops but not within walking distance. Liked the fireplace in the room.

It was very comfortable and neat and had everything you need in the kitchen and bedrooms. We loved the indoor fireplace and the outdoor braai area that was private. The views from the balcony were also so beautiful.

It is the best self-catering room for a family of 4, that we have ever stayed at. Loved the fireplace in the room and the braai outside as well.
