What a lovely and authentic place. South African style meeting French excellence. Beautiful rooms. The team was making all our requests possible. We had an upgrade to have more space with the kids. The wine tasting with Brice from France was amazing. We learnt so much. The breakfast with fresh fruits and everything was amazing. The place surrounded by lemon trees and the view and sunset on the wine yards. Just a dream. Very safe and just wonderful.

The room is huge and very cozy. The bath tub was amazing and there were confy bathrobes. We did the wine tasting with Yollanda who was really nice! All the staff super friendly. Breakfast was also great.

Mixed experience – beautiful place, but not as booked We booked the Family Villa, one of the most expensive options on Booking.com. However, upon check-in, we were told it would be “better” to stay in the main building as the villa was far away. They showed us a different room, clearly a cheaper alternative listed on Booking, and not what we had paid for. We asked to see the villa we had reserved and were told it had no heating, but they would take us there if we wished. We went to inspect the villa and found it unprepared, very cold, and clearly set up only for summer stays — no heaters, and no way to use the fireplace. When we checked the water, we discovered there was none. Staff confirmed there was a water issue in the villa at that time. We returned to the main building and ended up staying in another room (which was fine), but it was not the accommodation we had originally booked and paid for. We left disappointed by this aspect, and overall, the rooms do not meet the advertised 4-star standards. On the positive side, the place is stunning. The location is beautiful, the staff are professional and very kind, and the food — especially the tasting menu — is wonderful. If the rooms are improved and better equipped for winter, this place could easily be 5 stars.

The locations was great, and the staff excellent. The wine tasting guide Willy was really knowledgeable and enthusiastic which made the experience so much better. I would definitely recommend a stay
