Centrally located, looking over the square. Hotel room small but had everything we needed for our overnight stay. AC was great! Appreciated luggage storage while on our boat trip.

Hotel Kastel is a series of properties within the old town of Split. Be aware if booking with friends they may not be in the same building as you. Hotel room was small and overlooked the square. Apartment was large and also overlooked a square. Also be aware that staying in split will require you to carry luggage over cobbled streets and up several flights of stairs. We enjoyed wandering all the narrow streets.

You cannot beat the location! Having a view over the Riva was excellent. Staff were very helpful particularly the porter taking our luggage up the stairs to the top floor.
