We had the smaller apartment. The kitchen is well equipped. The shower has good waterpressure. There is a nice pub nearby.

The fact we were able to book, contact the owner and gain access to the property on the morning of arrival day. Due to being let down by another property hire.

Location handy to university and green areas. Also easy to get into docks area and also out of the city to other sights etc. The benefit of the location does bring with it the noise of being on a fairly main road. As others have mentioned even with double glazing road noise is quite high, even on the weekend, although it tails off at night. If you are a light sleeper (double is at front) bring earplugs. Also the wooden blinds are good for privacy but rubbish at keeping the light out so bring an eye mask too. Place was very clean and tidy and enough room for us three but wouldn’t advise for more than 4 people even with the sofa bed. The kitchen is well equipped and has what you need. Heating good and easily controlled. Parking is handy to have right outside but isn’t easy to navigate into. Best to reverse into the space or you have to reverse down the road to get out. No neighbours parking when we were there which made it easier otherwise would be tight. The road by the front door is used as a shortcut for people walking so there is quite a lot of people traffic by the door. As has been mentioned in other reviews, the letterbox keeps banging in the slightest breeze which really needs sorting out.

Location was excellent for us with a dog. The close proximity to Southampton common which is a massive area to walk your dog with miles of tarmac paths if you wish to use them. We even walked into the city centre one day (just under an hours walk) via the common and the city park. The accommodation was clean, warm, and equipped with everything we needed.
