I had a wonderful stay at People & Places Hostel in Sliema. From the start, the hospitality of the manager, Mark, made all the difference - he gave me an extensive list of local recommendations, was always on call to help if needed, and was genuinely friendly and lovely to chat to. The hostel / guesthouse itself is very clean and in a superb location, just steps from the beach and close to everything you need in Sliema. As a female solo traveller, I always felt safe there, which made my stay even more enjoyable. One of my favourite parts was the rooftop terrace - a great spot to relax with beautiful views of the sea and Sliema. I was also able to extend my stay without any hassle, which I really appreciated. The only thing to keep in mind is that there’s no kitchen and no air conditioning in the rooms, but if you know that when booking and it’s not a deal-breaker, it’s absolutely fine. Another note - this is not a party hostel but more of a guesthouse, which suited my needs. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay and have already recommended this hostel to friends. I’d definitely come back. Thanks Mark and team at People & Places.
