Matches the pictures, good price, 1 block away from the bus station, I was carrying awkward luggage and this was convenient; the center is still an easy 15 minute walk away. Towel provided. Locker fits a max-sized carry on backpack.

I stayed at Hostel Best Skopje for 10 days and had the chance to observe the place quite closely. The hostel is ideally located — just next to the main bus terminal, which makes arrival and departure extremely easy, especially for travelers using public transport. Many of Skopje’s most iconic landmarks and historical sites are within walking distance, so you don’t need to rely on taxis or long commutes. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. Common areas are cozy, and the bathrooms are cleaned regularly. The atmosphere is generally social and easygoing, which is great for solo travelers looking to meet others. The staff, especially the owner Vlaho, is kind, approachable, and genuinely tries to make guests feel welcome. I witnessed how he personally got involved in resolving difficult situations, which shows how much he cares about both the guests and the reputation of the place. That said, it’s important to note that the hostel currently lacks a washing machine and a stovetop in the kitchen, which may be a drawback for long-term travelers who prefer to cook or do their own laundry. Still, for its central location, cleanliness, and warm hospitality, Hostel Best Skopje is a solid option for anyone visiting the city.

During my 10-day stay at Hostel Best Skopje, I experienced some difficult moments, but what truly stood out was the sincerity, fairness, and solution-oriented attitude of the owner, Vlaho. It’s rare and comforting to meet a host who remains kind and composed even in times of crisis. The hostel itself is clean, well-organized, and excellently located — within walking distance to many of Skopje’s iconic landmarks. Being right next to the main bus station also makes it extremely convenient for both local and intercity transportation. Not everything may be perfect, but what makes a place truly valuable is how it handles imperfection. Vlaho’s respectful and heartfelt response to the situation made a real difference, and his efforts to ensure guest satisfaction were genuinely appreciated. If you’re looking for an honest, centrally located place with a host who truly cares, Hostel Best Skopje is definitely worth considering.

hostel staff are good people, sincere and honest. Large room with comfortable beds, centrally located, right next to the Vero super market. good hostel for this price. its a nice feeling to sit on the benches in the garden in front of the apartment building and drink beer until the morning.
