Alte Kalkoefen Lodge is situated 100 km west from Keetmanshoop en-route the B4 main road to Luderitz. Turn left for 2 km on the dirt road D462 where the lodge is situated before the railway line on the left hand sidePlease inform in advance of your expected arrival time. Interesting setup and quite different from your conventional lodges; the owners are very involved in the daily activities and they are very friendly; almost impossible to not overeat.....

Staff was very welcoming, friendly and professional, food was a delicious, room design is very creative, calming and rooms have a beautiful view; also booked a sundowner tour as an additional activity, beautiful view; the absolute highlight for me was the amazing collection of lithop plants!

Beautiful setting, near Fish river Canyon. Well equipped little eccentric , comfortable bed, extensive Lithops plant collection. Well worth the visit. We BBQed Selfcateting but the food smells from the main building were mouthwatering
