Truly an exceptional experience. We felt so welcomed into the home and had the best experience imaginable! The most delicious Sri Lankan breakfasts and dinners (which we had every night and couldn’t get enough!), snacks, drinks, organising Safari, transport, the room is spacious, clean and the surrounding home is a beautiful garden oasis - genuinely everything anyone could want or need. But ultimately it was the lovely Anoma who made this stay so special - such a kind and wonderful person. We were genuinely sad to leave and it was the highlight of our stay in Sri Lanka. A must visit in Sigiriya and you will leave with both your heart and belly full!! 😄

We stayed at Rock Lake Home Stay for three nights and it was one of the most beautiful parts of our trip. Anoma welcomed us with fresh juice and the warmest smile. From that moment, she cared for us like family. Her cooking was incredible. Every meal was so full of flavour and love that we chose to eat there every night. We also did a cooking class with her, which was fun, inspiring, and full of heart. Our driver, Patum, was kind and made everything easy and stress-free. But what truly makes this place special is Anoma. Her kindness stayed with us long after we left. If you want a stay that feels personal, peaceful, and full of love, this is it.

We could not recommend Rock Lake Home Stay more! This is a fantastic place to stay and our hostess (Anama) was incredibly welcoming, kind and went over and above to ensure that we had the best time. Anama provided an exceptional breakfast every day (very tasty and a great variety) and was so hospitable, always checking in and chatting with us and really made us feel at home. The home stay itself is beautiful, our room was very spacious and very clean with AC and a huge balcony that we could relax on in our downtime. We did not have any plans when we arrived in Sigiriya and Anama helped us to plan everything that we wanted to do and arranged all of our transport to/from attractions which was great. Anama also arranged a Safari trip for us (to national park Hurulu) which was amazing! This trip was so much more reasonable than any of the other offers we had seen advertised online (25,000 lkr for 2 people for a whole afternoon!) and was really good value for money. We saw so many elephants and our guide was great at showing us around the park whilst avoiding busy areas which meant that it was a much nicer experience than some of the other jeep safari’s we saw. This was our favourite place to stay in Sri Lanka and I only wish we could give more stars! Thank you so so much Anama for making our stay so wonderful :)
