Brilliant location opposite the main road/gate into the citadel with lots of restaurants and bars on your doorstep. We had a fantastically friendly welcome from the receptionist who spoke excellent English and allocated us a lovely room with balcony looking into the courtyard. She was not shy in recommending their restaurant as the best in town. We rarely eat in hotel restaurants but she was spot on! I had chateaubriand and my partner had mamaliga. Both outstanding and washed down with good Romanian wine. All very reasonably priced. Secure parking available to the rear of the hotel. Highly recommended.

Everything, even before my arrival I was contacted by the hotel staff with helpful information, the entire process was smooth and painless, hotel staff were amazing and accommodating, it's a great place to stay filled with history. I'll most likely make it a priority to stay here at my next visit. Thank you very much and I'll see you soon.

This is a proper old-fashioned hotel, the public areas are spectacular (especially the restaurant), the room was a good size and we had a lovely view of the old town from our window. Big comfy bed, nice bathroom, adequate storage space for a short stay. Breakfast was good. Location is ideal, just a short uphill walk to the old town and the free parking at the rear of the hotel was a blessing. Staff were efficient without being particularly friendly.
