This hotel is unusual in that it is a reasonably priced in an expensive area. I expected to be underwhelmed but was pleasantly surprised by how clean fresh interesting and characterful it was. The staff were welcoming and helpful. My room was fresh with windows that actually opened and I was very comfortable there. I would definitely go again.

The hotel is very old, but they’ve made an effort to keep it clean. The room is spacious, with a mini kitchen that includes a small fridge, microwave, sink, coffee maker, and what I believe is an oven. It had everything I needed for my two-night stay before my cruise. The bathroom provided lotion, as well as built-in shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. There’s also a mini grocery store on the next block where you can buy water. My Uber ride from Nordstrom in downtown to the property cost $10, tax included. In the lobby, they even offered complimentary drinking water for all guests.
