I was warmly greeted by Mikael who made me feel instantly comfortable, talking me through the facilities and sharing knowledge of the local area. The room was very nicely decorated and clean. I especially liked the thoughtful extra touches with fresh milk and bottles of water already in the mini fridge and the addition of a fan (much appreciated as it was a scorcher the few days that I visited). I also met Julie on my second day, who is just as lovely and warm.

We had a wonderful experience staying at Glenholme. Julie and Mikael were very friendly and helpful both before and during our visit. They couldn't do enough for us. The room was decorated to a high standard with a homely feel. It was very clean, comfortable and well thought out with many little extras that made it special. The communal areas within the guesthouse were also of a high standard. The cute little garden at the back with a sea view was a very nice added bonus. A very enjoyable evening with a drink and a book was spent in the comfortable chairs outside. The room we stayed in came with a permit for road parking rather than the car park but we had no problems parking directly outside. Mikael was very thoughtful and arranged for the permit to be valid until the end of the checkout day so that we had the option to extend our time in Scarborough. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Really enjoyed my stay at Glenholme. Julie and Mikael are so welcoming and friendly, carried my suitcase up to my room for me and sorted a parking permit for my two-night stay. The room was exceptionally clean and cosy, decorated tastefully and modern. They've really thought of everything and even included a set of earplugs so the seagulls didn't wake me up in the morning! I slept really well, the bed was really comfortable. The location is perfect - 5 minute walk to the beach, a pub across the road that does excellent food and a OneStop across the road too. If im ever staying in Scarborough again I will definitely be staying here. Thanks so much Julie and Mikael for your hospitality!
