Exceptional host, very friendly and helpful. Nice location near the port of Santa Pola with plenty of restaurants/cafes available within a very short walking distance. The public transport is not great, but the airport of Alicante (El Altet) is within a short travel distance by taxi. The taxi from airport after midnight was about EUR 25. Also, the host is open to discuss a transfer option and if it is available, it will cost you the same amount, but the service will be personal, just ask! We needed to leave for airport at 5 am and we had the car was at the main door without any delays. There are 2 beaches next to the apartment, about the same walking distance away (5-7 minutes). Gran Playa is good for little children, the sea is shallow for a long distance into the water. Platja de Llevant is better for swimming, you don't have to walk far to reach the deeper waters. The port of Santa Pola has a lot of water activity options, including boat/yacht/jetski with or without a marine license. Do take a trip to the nearby island of Tabarca, with plenty of travel options available from the port, EUR 10 round trip per person. Clear water and pebble beaches, good for snorkelling. There are grocery shops and various markets (fruits, beach equipment and more) in the vicinity, no need for a car to sort your daily needs. The apartment is on the 5th floor (4th if you are used to designate the 1st floor as a ground), but the lift in the building has never failed to do its job for us.
