The fine print
According to Colombian tax law, foreign citizens and non-resident Colombian citizens who receive certain stamps or visas upon entry into the country will be exempt from paying the 19% VAT tax. The exemption will only apply in certain cases to be reviewed at the reception. The travel documentation with the stamp or visa granted must be presented upon arrival.

The staff at the reception were super friendly and did their best to make our stay as relaxing as possible. I really appreciated that it’s a small hotel with only a few rooms – the service felt much more personal and attentive compared to larger hotels. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a quiet and comfortable stay.

The room was huge, and it was the only hotel that fit our two hard-case baggage open on the top of a couch we had inside our room. We really appreciate it. The decoration was beautiful and thoughtful The staff was kind and helpful with everything: organising a takeaway brekkie when we had an early tour, fixing our aircon, and booking our massages at the hotel spa. The massage and facial were great and we highly recommend it The restaurant is outstanding, we wish we had more dinners there. We loved the "encocado de camarao", the best we had in Colombia. Santa Marta food was the best.

Large room (suites). Nice bathroom. Nice pool area. Dinner excellent. Nice silent place in Rodadero for relaxing.
