Great location, the hosts had thought of all the little practical things you needed for your stay (enough kitchen equipment to make breakfast and simple meals, cleaning clothes/washing up liquid, expresso pot & coffee beans etc).

Casa Guilia is a beautiful little apartment tucked away in a quiet spot off the main street in San Gimignano. It’s a lovely apartment just inside the walls of the town, very clean, plenty of room for two people and good value considering the location. Living area is a bonus and the bed very comfortable. Kitchen a useful addition also with fridge and plenty of utensils – not that we cooked as plenty of restaurants and bars. The added bonus was the air con as it was very hot, so it was a good escape from the crowds and heat. Lots to see and do in the town. There’s a small restaurant downstairs, but rarely heard any noise from it as it was away from the centre so not usually too busy and not open too late We parked in P1 Giubileo which was a 5-10 minute walk from the apartment and cheaper (€6 for 24 hours) than P2 which is round the corner from the apartment (smaller car park, gets very busy €15 for 24 hours). Easy walk to P1 and the supermarket is on the way along with beautiful views of the countryside. Davide was very polite and helpful and told us everything we needed to know. A few stairs up to the apartment but not too many and there is a knack to the door but it’s the perfect bolthole to explore Tuscany.
