Excellent location, very close to downtown and public transportation stations. The staff kindly stored my luggage both before check-in and after check-out. Everyone was very friendly. I would definitely stay here again if I return to San Francisco. Room small, but clean.

It's right in the middle of town. Quite 'quirky' and clearly a favourite of pot smokers! The staff were very helpful. If you're afraid of the realities of San Francisco. meaning homelessness and drug addicts, it may not be to your taste as there is a little of that in the area. There is a Trader Joe's site close, BART is close and the bar next door was good. If you're an experienced traveler, this hotel is a good enough place to stay.
