Learner “Uzbek hospitality at its best”

We loved this place so much we will come back in 2 weeks at the end our trip. It is probably the warmest and most welcoming hotel we've ever stayed in. The family who run the hotel are absolutely lovely; it's almost as if we were part of an extended family. The food is wonderful too; we had a super plov, some fantastic local soup with meatballs, and big home cooked breakfasts everyday. We met other travellers and enjoyed long conversations based on smiles, hand gestures, basic English and Google translate. It's a 5 minute walk to the Registan but still very quiet on an unassuming side street. Our double room was a little small but spotlessly clean

The host family are wonderful, ready to help with everything and they were even kind enough to make my favourite Uzbek meal, manti. The room was spotlessly clean, everything brand new and because the father of the family had done the whole renovation of the building you can see that a lot of care has been taken with every detail. In addition to all the above, the location is great , which was the main reason why I chose the place and it’s only a few minutes walk to the Registan and within east walking distance of most other major sights in Samarkand. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting.

Great hospitality. The family are very warm and welcoming. Temur translates some English phrases for his parents and guests. Ample amounts of food for breakfast and on my first night the family requested I eat plov with them. It was delicious and very thoughtful. The room was comfy and shower was strong. The location is right off Registan Square about 3 minutes walk. Great stay. Definitely recommend it!
