The accommodation was in an excellent position - not far from St Mere Eglise and right on the beach. It was very clean and comfortable, except for 4 adults, the seating arrangement in the living room area had one settee and two wooden armchairs - these weren't very relaxing to sit in after long days out at the D-Day celebrations and ceremonies. However, it was still a fantastic place. The spiral staircase is very narrow, so it was a challenge to get a full size suitcase up the stairs, but once you were up there, it was fine.

The house is beautiful and spacious and comfortable, with a gorgeous view of the water. We had rainy and chilly weather the whole time we were there, or we would have been out on the terrace for every meal. The host and hostess met us when we arrived to hand over the keys and show us around the house - they are friendly and kind and helpful. Pro tip: If you book a tour of the WWII beaches, book one that starts in Ste-Mere-Eglise rather than Bayeaux - it will save you a lot of driving.
