This property was self catering but as we were arriving very late after a flight from England Louisa and Francis prepared a delicious 'welcome supper' for us. We appreciated their kindness very much. The grounds surrounding our accommodation were idyllic with well kept lawns and trees that offered plenty of shade. The setting was tranquil and peaceful. We could easily have spent all our holiday time at Le Luquet as it is in a beautiful environment, has excellent kitchen facilities and a most enticing swimming pool.

This maybe the most enjoyable stay We have ever experienced in 35 years of traveling around europe. The hosts were brilliant and attentive. The venue is great. We will be back soon on our return north. Very happy to reccomend.

This is the most wonderful spot, with vast open gardens full of mature specimen trees. You can even wander down to a little grotto to find the natural source of soft, pure water that supplies the whole property. The pigeonnier has been converted with taste and ingenuity to provide a spacious and well-equipped kitchen, a pretty bedroom and plenty of outdoor space, including our own patio. The level of attention to detail makes you feel surrounded by loving care, such as a little potagère just outside the kitchen window where you can pick your own herbs, tomatoes, courgettes, etc. The big saltwater pool is magnificent and has views downhill to the lake. There's a communal area where, if you wish, you can gather by candlelight around the table under the trees and swap stories with other travellers. The hosts, Francis and Louisa, have a real gift for hospitality -- kind and welcoming, but ensuring a very private and tranquil space for guests to relax and unwind in. This is a new venture for them, and they have many exciting plans to develop the place further. We look forward to visiting again in the years to come, to see the magic unfolding.
