When you're in Sacramento and looking for a budget-friendly place to stay at, this location is one of your best bets. I've stayed here enough times to consider myself a frequent flyer. Personally I've never had any issues with the doorcode or lock. The house has a well-stocked kitchen for cooking (utensils included), two bathrooms and surprisingly good wi-fi (at least in my experience.) There's an older gentleman as a permanent resident who's someone I can recommend getting to know - he's a great guy who makes the place feel like visiting a friend's home. In my experience bedding and towels have always been clean, no complaints. Neighbourhood is fine during daytime; there's an affordable grocery store, a pharmacy, fast food places etc. nearby, around 10-minute walk from the hostel. It's incredibly easy to come and go by bus here: 51 to Downtown and back goes nearly right by the place. If you're travelling with a tight budget and don't mind sleeping in a bunk bed, I can recommend booking! In all fairness this time around I slept with noise cancelling headphones on and had no issue sleeping through the night, so if you're a light sleeper I'd recommend those or earplugs.
