Emma met us at the property, showed us around and made herself very much available to us if we needed any help. I personally loved the location, as a local, because from the extreme left of the balcony I could see the Russell Boating Club, which our father was a founding member of, not forgetting the sight of all those predominantly white-hulled boats swinging, north, east, south and west according to wind and/or tide. Leo and I were in serious recovery mode following a 5 night camp on Motuihe, extending from 3 days before to 4 days afterwards with all the equipment, centre-boarder logistics, therefore we enjoyed the relative quiet.
